Yes, you can register and complete the in-class or online portion of the course. However, in order to do any in-car lessons, you must obtain your G1 license first. We recommend all our students to get their G1 license as soon as they turn 16.
This all depends on the student and how fast they’re able to learn. Typically, it takes between 10-15 hours to learn everything and to be ready for the test.
A Driver’s License History (DLH) from Service Ontario will serve as your proof of completion in our approved BDE course. A certificate of completion of a novice driver education course is widely recognized by the insurance sector, however, the places in which you live/drive, the make of your car, and your age all have an impact on insurance costs. Please contact your insurance provider or broker for more details.
By participating in our course, You can get your get your license 4 months earlier AND you may be eligible to save on your insurance premiums. Following your successful completion of the BDE Course, you will receive the 4 months reduction and will be able to complete your G2 test 8 months after receiving your G1 license. If you choose not take the course, you must wait the full 12 month waiting period.
Once you have successfully completed a BDE course, your certificate will be processed online within 48 hours. Your certificate will be sent to you by e-mail instantly afterwards for your own records. The original copy of your certificate will be sent to you by mail and you should receive your it within 7-10 business days.
We are happy to offer a full refund for the Drivers Education Course prior to start the online portion of the course.
According to the Ministry of Transportation (MTO), students have one year from the first day of class to complete the course. After one year, students who have not completed the course are no longer eligible for the certification process and will be required to restart their Drivers Education Course.
The G1 license is not required for the online portion of the course; however, it is required for the in-car portion.
PAYMENTS
All payments are due at the time of booking. payment plans are available for the Beginner Driving Course Certificate program and the Advanced Driving Certificate Program. We accept certified cheque payments, cash payments and Interac e-Transfers. Please contact us for any inquires you may have.
REFUNDS
Full refunds are available for the online course prior to the start of the online portion of the course. For all other service refunds or cancellations, we require a 24-hour notice. Upon request, refunds will be applied to the original source, minus any applicable cancellation fees.
ADDITIONALLY
In the case of inclement weather, appointments are only cancelled in the event of ice or snow sticking to the roadways or at the discretion of the instructor.
CANCELLATIONS
Your appointments and well-being are very important to us. We understand that sometimes, unexpected delays can occur. If you must cancel your appointment, we request a 24-hour notice. Any cancellation or re-scheduling made within 24 hours will result in a $60 cancellation fee.
